Candace R. Craig brings decades of expertise to her role at Pikes Peak State College (PPSC), where she has taught composition, technical writing, and literature. Craig’s academic background includes a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a Master of Arts in English Literature. Her
deep knowledge of writing and effective teaching methods informs her approach to higher education.

Professional Experience

Craig’s teaching career began with seven years as an elementary school teacher. She then spent fourteen years teaching humanities courses at the secondary level before moving into higher education, where she has taught at the college level for six years.

Honors & Awards

In 2019, Craig received a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to study film adaptation at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She has also been recognized for her creative work, earning a nomination for Best of the Net for a work of environmental creative nonfiction.

Classes Taught

At PPSC, Craig has taught a variety of courses, including Introduction to Literature, Technical Writing, and both introductory and advanced levels of composition.

Professional Memberships

Craig is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, which supports her work as an occasional freelance editor.
